The Eras and Our Timeline [PART-001]
Sometime after our RPG began, we decided that our timeline or first Era would begin in the Star Wars Expanded Univerise timeline of 60 ABY. We had also decided that the Yuhuzzan Vong never existed. However, as Disney has decided to de-canonize the Expanded Universe timeline and change it to Star Wars Legends, we have decided to stick with all of the Expanded Universe timeline and call it our canon history. For the purpose of our RPG, the Expanded Universe/Legends is part of our history, though very distant history. Due to the many other written works that have since been created by the Expanded Universe authors, 60 ABY is no longer a good starting point for us. We have therefore decided that our RPG’s first Era (the United Factions for Peace and Order) which begins according to our timeline at 100 UFY counting backwards to 0 UFY/0 IRY, will begin at 200 ABY from the Star Wars EU/Legends timeline, allowing for all the canon characters and governments to have died off or otherwise become part of history.
The second Era in our RPG’s timeline, which is the Era of the Imperial Republic (the Era our RPG is focused around), begins at 0 UFY/0 IRY (300 ABY). The years shall count down from 100 UFY to 0 UFY/0 IRY and upwards from 0 IRY to our present year (at the time of this posting, 35 IRY), and so on. The timeline shall be maintained both on the EOTIR Google Cloud Drive Wiki folder and the Private IR Wiki housed at http://wiki.eotir.com/. See this post for information on how to access the IR Wiki.
