FATE-005 – Force Levels
The Force Level system defines the ranks and progression of Force-sensitive individuals within the universe of the Imperial Republic. This structure provides clarity and consistency for roleplay, training, advancement, and classification of characters.
Force Level Hierarchy
| Level | Title | Narrative Role |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | None | No Force sensitivity or affinity; cannot be trained |
| 1 | Potential | Latent Force affinity; eligible for testing or observation |
| 2 | Novice | Basic training; inducted into an Order but not yet apprenticed |
| 3 | Padawan | Direct tutelage under a Knight or Master |
| 4 | Knight | Fully trained; capable of acting independently |
| 5 | Senior Knight | Seasoned field agent; optional distinction for lore/records |
| 6 | Master | Mentor, councilor, or commander within the Order |
| 7 | Senior Master | Reserved for the elite few—optional if not in use |
| 8 | Grand Master | Symbolic and administrative leader of the entire Order |
Notes
- None: Cannot become Force-sensitive; biologically or spiritually inert to the Force.
- Potential: Often identified through testing or visions; eligibility for initiation.
- Novice: Beginning of formal training.
- Padawan: Paired with a mentor; often sent on supervised missions.
- Knight: Represents mastery of foundational Force techniques and combat readiness.
- Senior Knight: Optional honorific distinction for long-serving or decorated Knights.
- Master: May train others; holds leadership or advisory roles.
- Senior Master: Reserved for the most senior figures of the Order. This level is optional.
- Grand Master: Symbolic head of the Order. Typically, only one exists at a time.
This system is faction-neutral but can be reskinned per tradition (e.g., Jedi/Sith variations).
