Xanatos is distrustful of most people and has a distinct distrust of those he does no know personally; this is obvious to the extent that he oftentimes will not let people walk behind him. Opposite to his Hapan brethren, he has a strong aversion to bright light and nearly always prefers darkness or low light. When forced to go to be in areas he wears dark sunglasses to mask this. Xanatos also will never refer to himself a dathomiri; he is and always will be anzati. The only things linking him to his Anzati heritage are his exceptional longevity which is well hidden, his mastery of the Assassin’s arts, and his telepathic abilities.
