Accessories: An assortment of gold and silver bangles on each wrist. She has triple-pierced ears, and in each hole there is a gold hoop, each progressively smaller than the other. Even though it is mostly hidden, she does have a navel piercing in which she keeps a small gold stud, with a different “jewel” for every day of the week.

Nirium’s only goal in life is to never be discovered by Giska. Aside from that, she is perfectly happy with her life where it is and although she wishes for a knight in shining armor, she doesn’t need one.

Her past is one that she would mainly like to forget. As a child she never knew her father, and often had problems with her emotions. She seemed to pick up on the mood of anyone near her, and emulate what they were feeling. Though she eventually learned to control this, she could never completely shut her emotions down. At times she could seem a little unfeeling because of this.

Her childhood was rough. At the age of ten she lost her mother to a wasting disease. She was then placed in an orphanage and at the age of twelve ran away from it. From there, she found a job as a bus-girl in Giska’s club, The Velvet Shadows. After a year of that, she moved up to waiting tables. During this time, one of Giska’s dancers, a twi’lek named Ardana Dukal took the young girl under her wing and began to teach her the art of dancing and healing. At fourteen, she entered the world of entertaining under the watchful eye of Ardana. While she was still learning and dancing, a young Zabrak named Eeth entered the rings. The two quickly became friends, and then became lovers (in the boyfriend/girlfriend sense).

When she turned fifteen, Ardana was murdered, though for what reason, Nirium never quite understood. She then took Ardana’s place as a full entertainer and quickly became of Giska’s best dancers. Eeth and Nirium grew quite close, even going as far as to rent an apartment together. Nearly three months after Ardana was murdered, Giska had grown tired of the boy because he’d gotten too good at fighting. He was also displeased that Nirium had chosen to shack up with Eeth, despite his many attempts to coax Nirium into his own bed. He set Eeth up in a fight, and it turned out to be the boy’s last.

Nirium witnessed the entire fight. She tried her best to get down from her dancing box to help Eeth, but because she was chained to it (as all the girls were, to keep them from running away), she was forced to watch him die. She went into a deep depression after that and still has not quite recovered.

When she was nineteen however, another young man came into the rings. Jared Quinn reminded her all too much of Eeth, and when she saw him nearly die after his first fight, she had to help him.

Later employed by Giska to spy on Jared and inform him of Jared’s doing, Nirium stuck close to him and eventually fell in love with him, though Jared never returned the feelings. As with Eeth, she ended up living with him. Despite the fact that she was to spy on him, Nirium never told Giska anything about Jared because by that time, Jared had earned Nirium as a friend, and thus, her undying loyalty.

Two years later, Jared faked his own death in the rings to escape Giska. She still believes he is dead to this day, and as with Eeth, mourns him deeply. This has led to her being a bit of a lush and sometimes outright unruly. At twenty-three, she had become Giska’s personal entertainer. She later faked her own death with Giska and took the next transport off of Corellia. Nirium made her way to Coruscant in the next year and quickly found herself in the employ of the Devins, mainly as a companion for the young Diandra. She has stayed there, content with her life.
