As the oldest child of the Planetary Governor of Qua’tali Kimla is used to being in the spotlight. This is also attributed to the fact that her mother’s cousin, Ieyena Cohean, was the Minister of Defense. At age 19 she graduated from the planetary academy with a degree in business. This is the reason when her parents found out about her Great Uncles failing health it was decided that she would go to Corellia and help run Koranchs Enterprises.
