Because of the state of Jaylen’s mind over the process of Kennedy’s tests, his personality is complicated and can be very……………..unpredictable.

um..where to begin? Some would think he’s insane. Some would want to help him out. Some would have sympathy. Myriads and myriads of different relationships could transpire.
Some see him as another person who now lives at the palace. Some still see him as an enemy as he was one before.

Character’s ultimate goal : Hope. To hope and believe in someone that will help him through his current struggle that will ultimately help him overcome it. To hope and trust in someone that will never let him down no matter what. Throughout this, he will also want to do the right thing.

Background –
Jaylen is naturally smart and bright. He has done much schooling in advanced schooling in the 12 years before he was kidnapped by Kennedy. Also in these 12 years, he did much related in music and the martial arts. He knows many different kinds and excels much in those related with the staff. Soon after being kidnapped by Kennedy, Kennedy tried to mind wipe the memories of who his family is and how he grew up; he still retains all memories of the talents, lessons, studies, and fighting techniques learned in those years. With all this being said, Jaylen (because of the strenghth of his will) does remember everything that happened, but it is more like a memory of dreams.
History :
Jaylen Myst was born on the planet of Adumar. As a young boy, he was quickly found to be very bright and smart: both in educational things and common sense. This enabled him to learn things faster and comprehend them. He also started learning how to play instruments at a young age and came to love playing them. Finally, he took part of athletic events and martial arts competitions. He did very well in the hand to hand area partly because of being flexible and party having the special gift of being a telepath. He noticed it more and more as he began to take part in martial arts. He discovered he could slightly read the emotions of others enough to anticipate correctly (most of the time in the beginning) what they were going to do and how they were going to act.
He was born into a wonderful family along with a twin sister. His family is was very close to each other. They did many things together. He was even got close (as a family member) with his sister. One of the larger reasons for this was the reason they were the only type of there species that they knew of in the area and planet. Little did the family know that Jaylen would be taken from them under false pretenses in the middle of his 12th year.
When Jaylen was 12 years old the Mysts received a housecall about a school of accelerated school of learning. Jaylen was chosen as a candidate. Jaylen readily wanted to take part while the rest of the family was hesitant. After a family talk, it was decided that Jaylen take part for a few days then decide whether or not he wanted to keep going. One week later, Jaylen went on his first day…he was never seen by his family again. Jaylen was taken to an undisclosed location. During the transit, Jaylen learned that the mastermind was one Sean Kennedy.
At the undisclosed location, he was trained in the ways of assassin and regular combat. Because of his gift in telepathy his mind was also tested and conditioned to become loyal to Kennedy only as it would aid Kennedy’s efforts. Kennedy mind wiped him to make the process easier (see the backround section for details). Unfortunately this did not work, reason being Jaylen had a strong will and would not succumb. The things that they did over the course of the years eventually shattered his mind. Eventually, Kennedy was able to gain a hold by using a device that somewhat broke someones will and then proceeded to use the force to influence Jaylen’s mind. It worked. Jaylen, after this point, was sent on a variety of missions went not close to Kennedy.
In the most recent “Palace Storm” Jaylen was deployed in Alpha Point. During the prince’s burst of power in the beginning of the fight between Stratus and Kennedy, the link between himself and Kennedy was severed. His mind was in chaos for a time as Kennedy was the one who had controlled him. Much time has passed since the the defeat of Kennedy. Though he is still sifting through the different memories, his mind is mostly healed. He has stayed with Major Tav until he was given his own place in the palace.
